A snowy egret (Egretta thula) displays its pristine white plumage as it takes flight across the mangrove-lined waters of Golfo Dulce. With dramatic wing extension and vivid yellow feet trailing behind, this graceful wading bird navigates between feeding grounds in Costa Rica's coastal wetlands.
