The country store is the heart and soul of this diverse community bringing together farmers, businessmen, brethren church members, back to the land movement participates and boutique owners under the same roof once a week. The country store has a worldwide reputation not only for what it means to the town of Floyd but also for the quality of old time music played there. The store functioned as a general store for the community into the 1990's selling everything from groceries to overalls. These days the store is only open on Friday nights for the Jamboree.
