MOLOKAI, HI - A low angle view of eucalyptus trees on the pacific island of Molokai, Hawaii. A diverse genus of trees, there are more than 700 species of Eucalyptus, mostly native to Australia. These Eucalyptus trees were brought to Molokai in an attempt to make a forest reserve. Unfortunately they have done much more environmental harm than good, adversely affecting the water table of the island and preventing native plant species from growing.
